[Multiple Positions!] We are looking for self-motivated Ph.D. and master's students, research assistants, and visiting research students, as well as remote internships and undergraduate research positions.

For Perspective PhD and Master Students

We are looking for PhD and Master students!. During the postgraduate study, you will be involved in cutting-edge research in education  Science of Learning  Good candidates are expected to satisfy the following requirements:

  • A bachelor/master degree in Psychology, Computer Science (or related fields) with good programming skills;
  • Being passionate about doing excellent research. Prior research experience in education research, physiological signal analysis, emotion research, data mining, machine learning and  human computer interaction (HCI) will be a plus.
  • Excellent English communication skills in terms of both writing and speaking.

If you are interested in conducting interdisciplinary research on education, we highly recommend applying for the Interdisciplinary Graduate Programme.

For (Remote) Visiting Students and Research Assistants

We are looking for visiting students, internship or research assistants (if project funding is available). Below are a few types of applications we will pay special attention to:

  • We always welcome year-3 or year-4 undergraduate students or soon-to-graduate master’s students who are interested in joining the postgraduate program at NIE NTU to apply for short-term visiting positions in our team. You are highly welcome to apply for the Global Connect Fellowship at NTU, where you will work with us for approximately 2-3 months.
  • If you are an ongoing PhD or Postdoctoral Researcher from China and would like to visit our team for a short term, it is generally expected that you will stay at NIE NTU for at least 6 months. Also, it will be a plus if you can get funding support from Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) or your home university.
  • We may also consider your application for a remote (unpaid) internship. This option would allow you to contribute to the project and gain valuable research experience while working flexibly from your current location.

Minimum Entry Requirement

  • A Bachelor’s degree with honours at least at Second Class Upper level, a Master’s degree in the relevant areas, and the ability to pursue research in the candidate’s proposed field of advanced study.
  • Shortlisted applicants will undergo an interview session as part of the selection process.
  • A valid GRE score is required for applicants who are not graduates of autonomous universities in Singapore. See the detailed requirements for the English language, including competency and GRE requirements, here.
